How Our Journey Began
Saving Our Sons Mentoring Movement, Inc was birthed in 2018 out of a deep burden to stand in the gap for hurting youth and families. In a city wrestling with fatherlessness, violence, and trauma, God called us to show up, build real relationships, and patiently walk with people toward healing, hope, and purpose.
From Mentoring To Movement
As we mentored young men, we kept meeting hurting moms, absent fathers, broken trust, and silent pain. It became clear: God wasn't building just a program, but a movement. Repairs of the Breach grew into a family restoration ministry-a church without walls-mentoring sons and daughters, rebuilding homes, and calling whole communities back to life and purpose.
Lived Experience, Real Hope
Our leadership, including Founder Lance J. Ambrose Sr., knows what it means to walk through incarceration, addiction, brokenness, and loss-and still find redemption. We do not speak from a distance. We carry scars and testimony, understand the streets, honor every story, and believe, by God's grace, restoration is possible for every son, daughter, and family.
Mr. LA - President
Lance J. Ambrose Sr, known as Mr. LA, did not grow up dreaming of running a mentoring movement. His story moved between brokenness and bad decisions, incarceration and addiction, before God met him in the middle of his mess and started writing something new. That redemption birthed Saving Our Sons Mentoring Movement, Inc, a church without walls focused on Repairs of the Breach.
Mr. LA brings years of mentoring, conflict resolution, chaplaincy, and First Aid and CPR training, along with partnerships through Mentoring Partnership of Wisconsin and the National Mentoring Resource Center, yet his greatest credential is simple, he has walked the same streets many of our sons are trying to survive.
